With a name gifted from iwi, the merger of Longford Intermediate School and Gore High School signalled a progressive future for Gore and Southland. The historic moment saw the creation of a new school, Māruawai College.
The Brief
The merger of two schools presented an opportunity to re-craft the schools’ narrative. They wanted a brand that would embrace both their European heritage and Māori heritage and celebrate their multi-cultural future.
Our Work
We created a new identity that would communicate their unique cultural story based on heritage, pride, inclusivity and educational excellence. This included a modern, custom-designed website, an international prospectus, various pull up banners, signage and stationery.
A proactive approach to media and local community communications ensured a successful brand launch.
